Albedo is developing very low Earth orbit (VLEO) satellites that fly at altitudes of 200-300km, dramatically closer than traditional EO satellites. This enables 10cm-class optical and 2m thermal infrared resolution from satellite platforms the size of a washing machine, at a fraction of the cost of traditional high-res systems.
