Accion Systems, spun out of MIT, develops micro-electrospray propulsion systems (TILE thrusters) for small satellites. The TILE uses ionic liquids as propellant and is manufactured using semiconductor fabrication techniques, enabling low-cost, high-performance propulsion for CubeSats and smallsats.
